2e Troop Allocations – The French and Prussian player allocate their forces to the various tasks indicated on the Allocation Chart for their armies. 3e Random / Historical Events – Review the Random Events tables. (Do Not Reveal) 4e Prussian Sortie – Prussian Leader declares a Sortie from the Danzig. The Coalition is not required to do a Sortie. 5e French Assault Operations – French leader declares offensive operations to cut off the city or recapture areas. . The French are not required to do any offensive operations. They may elect to use all of their resources for other operations. 6e Saphead – The French determine how far the parallels have gone forward towards breaching the Prussian defenses at the Hagelsberg. 7e Attrition – Desertion, sickness and casualties take their toll of both sides. Troops do come back at a variable rate 8e Surrender – Check to see if the city meets the conditions for surrender 9e Calculate -the increments available based on the events of this turn including random events Move the time recorder and restart the sequence. Once you reach turn 10, then use the rule for 10e ( Relief) . 10e Relief – the final battle to relieve the city – (ME Premier Rules are used to simulate grand Turns 1 through 9 - One map (22” x 34”) is provided to represent the conflict area of the siege. Control identification markers; an Allocation Chart for the Prussian; an Allocation Chart for the French; Combat tables for Sortie and Offensive Operations; Sapping Operations Chart; Time Recorder Chart; Increment Calculation Chart and Random Events Chart are all provided. Turn 10 – One map (22”x34”); with combat units, leaders and informational markers specific to the Danzig game. Use the ME Premier Rules and other technical special and special unit rules from the La Bataille de Friedland 1807. Specific Definitions and Details (3) 1 ere Control Identification The Prussians start the game by controlling: Holm Island, Ft. Weichselmunde, Ft. Neufuhrswasser, Kluk Redoubt, Danzig, and Nehrung. Use Prussian / Russian or French Markers to identify the areas still controlled by the coalition or gained by the French in the previous offensive actions.
