Grenz and Jägers in column add three to the printed morale value on the counter.
Grenadiers do not add to the morale value for being in column.
Austrian columns move at their printed movement value.
Cavalry Recovery of Readiness
Cavalry may not recover a step of readiness if it is in an enemy zone of influence or is under fire as a target of an offensive or defensive fire attack.
Special Terrain Types
Terrain
Northern Area Towns, The following hexes are designated as towns: Möckern, Gohlis, Euteritzsch, and Mockau
Western Area Towns , The following hexes are designated as towns: Lindenau, Schonau and Gautzsch,
Southern Area Towns, The following are designated as towns: Crobern, Connewitz, Markkleeberg, Wachau, Liebertwolkwitz, Seifershain, Probstheida, Holzhauzen, and Stotteritz
All other hexes which contain buildings are considered villages.
Any single hex by itself is considered a hamlet.
There are Chateaux hexes at Dölitz and Markkleeberg on the west side of the Elster River.
These Chateaux represents several substantial, multi-story buildings with cleared land surrounding. This makes this a defensive strong point for any determined troops. The following special rules are added for these Chateaux Units in the Chateaux have their defensive melee value multiplied by 1.5 The Chateaux will take six steps of losses. If the units in the Chateaux take an increment loss from artillery fire, the Chateaux also takes a loss. Once the Chateaux takes 6 losses, no one can occupy the hex. If the combat against troops in the Chateaux results in a DD, if the single digit die is even, the defending troops do not have to retreat. For all other aspects treat the Chateau x as a town. There is no zone of influence into the Chateaux. Units in the Chateaux exert a zone of influence to surrounding clear terrain hexes.
