Scenario Information – The first Day’s Advance

It is difficult to model the first day of the battle without including another six full-sized maps to this already extensive package. The first day saw a steady retreat of the Coalition forces to their prepared positions behind the Spree. Therefore, it is questionable whether a coordinated fall back should be included in the game package given the additional map area and related costs to produce. The battles of Weissig and Königswartha fought on May 19, 1813, are played within the one map in this release. Weissig is a good introductory game. The final battle of Bautzen fought on May 21, 1813, is to be played on the six maps. Many scenarios are provided that breakdown the action into one-on-one player conflicts, with limited map areas. Königswartha is a quick battle where General Peyri attempts to make the best of a bad situation.
