Scenario Two Friant’s Stand on the Goldbach This scenario starts with a very few troops present on the battlefield but quickly escalates into a
major struggle. The village of Sokolnitz will exchange hands many times as the infantry of each side slugs it out. Start 9:00 am and finish at the end of the 11:40 am turn Boundary – Use Set-up Map #2
Movement suggestions – with 2 players: 10 minutes for the French and 8 minutes for the Coalition Empire of the French Starting Positions Tir. du Po – Schloss Tir. du Corse – Pheasantry 26e Legere Infantry Regiment, 2e Battalion – Sokolnitz 1 Batterie a’ Pied – IV Corps, 11 e and 26e Chassuer a’ Cheval Reinforcements (see map) 9:20 - 15e Legere Regiment, 2e Battalion 10:00 - MdF Davout and staff, 33e Ligne,48e Ligne and 111e Ligne Regiments , 1 Batterie a’ Pied - Starting with the 10:00 am turn, a die is rolled for each regiment is required. A roll of a 4,5,6 and the regiment enters. With each subsequent turn a plus one is added to the die roll. This process continues until all regiments have entered. GdD Friant enters with the first regiment. MdE Davout enters with the last.
