La Bataille de Friedland et Danzig 1809

Le Siege de Danzig 1807 6e Attrition / Reinforcements

Both the French and Prussians have difficulties maintaining an effective army in the field. The troops of General Kalkreuth are subject to desertion as the ring around the city tightens. Many of his troops are ethnically Polish and not so supportive of a Prussian King. The X Corps d’ Armee also has difficulties with their new found allies who have to work in all sorts of weather.

Shelling by both sides also takes its tool. Disease and vectors are a constant concern

Every turn use this sequence during the Attrition/Reinforcement phase  Prussian Attrition -The Prussians Roll a die and divide the number by three and round down. A fractional result is a zero. This represents Prussian (Polish) desertion. Take the loss from Prussian increments of your choice.  French Attrition -The Prussians Roll a die and divide the number by two and round down. A fractional is a zero. Add one to the die roll if the Prussians hold the Kalk Redoubt. Add one to the die roll if 15 increments are working on Saphead operations. Plus 2 to the die roll if there are 20 increments working. This represents French workers shot down while excavating. The French player loses increments from the Saphead.  Battery and Counter Battery. The Prussians and French each roll a die. The high number divided by 3 (rounded down) represents the number of increments the other side losses to artillery. The fractional results are counted as zero. Only one side losses increments to battery fire, per turn. On April 12 turn General Lariboisiere’s Siege guns are in place, the French add one to their die roll  The French get two increments per turn as reinforcements (returning from injury or illness) if the roll is other than a six. Roll a six and you receive one increment  The Prussians roll for reinforcements as long as the hold one of the following: Holm Island, Nehrung and the two forts at the mouth of the Vistula. If any of these are captured it effects supplies and men. o Roll 1,2,3 on a six sided die and the Prussians received two additional increments if all these areas are held o Lose control of Holm Island or Nehrung add one to the die roll o Lose control of both Holm Island and Nehrung, add two the die roll o Lose either of the Forts on the Vistula , only one increment with roll o The effects are not cumulative. Only the worst modifications for the coalition apply
